I am a 40 something year old mother of 2. I have always been interested in crafts since my sister and I spent summer weeks with my Grandmother, who was a very crafty lady, while my mother was in college. I mostly quilt since I seem to have an obsession with owning large quantities of fabric, but at one point or another think I have tried almost every craft out there.

busy, busy, busy

My poor sewing room doesn't look anything like that nice picture in the last post. Since I started my new job we have had 2 launches one Monday right after the other. A launch means that we take down the web site, move in new code and quickly test it to make sure everything is ready for business when we bring it back up. In other words I have to go into work at 1 am. 1 am is usually about when I am heading to bed. Both weeks I really tried to go to bed around 7 for some rest, but ended up with almost no sleep. Turning my sleep cycle directly around for a day doesn't work very well for me. I ended up coming home from work, taking a 4 hour nap and then waking up groggy. My Sunday quilting time was cut into because I was trying to get some sleep, then I couldn't even make it up on Monday because I was sleeping and then no energy. This is a long story to just end up saying what sewing time I had was used sewing and not picking up after myself.
I did manage a finish. Finally, my quilt I got from the long-arm quilter almost a year ago is bound. Here it is being modeled by Miss Misty. When I laid it on the bed and went to take a picture she jumped right up on the quilt and laid down looking at me. Almost like she wanted her picture in cyberspace.
I do have other finishes, but I can't show. ChookyBlue would not be happy if I posted my SSCS before my partner gets a chance to open it and if I posted the advent gifts for April she would peek.
I started a new quilt wall. My 2 finished Jo's are up. I want to cover the entire wall. I can't wait to put the mini-minis I made up.
We had Jo's club this past Thursday, and I won the door prize! 3 Jo's fat quarters and a really nice Lori Smith pattern. Next month we are doing a pot luck dinner and Yankee Swap. I'm not sure how many meetings we have left. With all that's been going I haven't been very good at keeping track.
I really need to post more often. I'm going to be a better blogger from now on I swear.
