don quixote
My daughter is an amazing dancer if I do say so myself. ;-) I haven't seen her dance for a couple of years and it was so nice. I know ballet isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I sure wish I lived near Denver so I could see all of her shows. I made some friends in the audience who were also impressed with her dancing (at least that's what they told me). One had a six year old daughter who was so excited it was adorable. There are 3 acts in Don Q and after the second she was disappointed because she thought it was over. When I told her there was one more act she was all excited. The father gave me his card to have DD get in touch with him so he could have her babysit his daughter.
There was one little glitch in our trip. We left in the middle of 1.5 feet of snowfall and I guess Delta had pissed off the Denver International Airport de-icing team. We pushed back from the gate about 20 minutes behind schedule and since we had about 1 1/2 hour layover we weren't worried about catching our connecting. We then sat for 1 1/2 hours first in line to get de-iced while they took other planes from behind ours. Needless to say we did miss our connection and had to spend the night in Detroit. Of course the airline wouldn't spring for a hotel room since it was "weather related". I still love to travel, but getting there just isn't fun anymore since there are almost always flight problems. The airlines just don't have any care about customer service at all.
